FOR ALL OUT OF TOWNERS!!! I went to this place for breakfast before the local grocery store opened. it litterally took them 45 min to pour a cup of coffee , I also ordered a breakfast that was cold and coffee was watered down, and staff were very rude and basically stole 20 dollars from me and my gf. I didn't even want to make a compliant or send the food back because the staff were incompetent and slow!!!

Absolutely FanTasTic!!! My first visit was in 1989 and, I was there last week, the atmosphere is still wholesome & genuine and the bread - still Thee Best Ever ✅✅✅ So they say the "Peasant Loaf" is the exact same recipe for the last 40 years!! How can that not be fabulous?! I loved the lil place it was housed in the first time I sat down to enjoy a cheese bun with a cuppa Red Zinger tea.

My gluten free version of the sausage burrito was awesome. My granddaughter had it with a wrap and said hers was a 10 out of 10!

They warm what they want and they don’t offer water. It’s a very very long service. The staff seem nice at first but they are completely careless and mean.

One of the older, original business in the growing town of tofino, they have delicious fresh made goods daily that sell out often. Eith going early to get snacks and breads to enjoy. Yummy.

This is a place I still refer to as the Birdhouse. The Common Loaf offers an incredible array of delectable pastries and sweets, along with a commanding list of beverages and smiling service. It's skukum hand-faced beams and fine collection of paintings brings a relaxed peace of mind to it's customers. Really a Jewel in the crown of this beautiful town.

The red building is what caught our eye to check out this place. It was quite busy on a Sunday. Good selection of baked goods and huge selection of teas too! Tea and regular coffee are self serve. 1 less star because I feel like service could have been better.

So you order a coffee. You then wait. And wait. And wait. You then ask where is your coffee? The answer “oh someone else in your party must have taken it” Erm, no. No one else ordered a coffee you just forgot to make it! No apology. Rude. Oh and not very good coffee!Avoid.

Awesome spot for a bite to eat! I grabbed breakfast and had the breakfast sandwhich which was delicious and the perfect amount of food! They also have lots of baked goods (bread, muffins, etc) so worth grabbing some goods to go! Good outdoor seating with some pesky ravens and birds but hey, everybody needs to eat right?

Slow service but excellent breakast sandwich. Delicious fried eggs, ham, lettuce, cheese and tomato sandwich on a toast peasant bread. Highly recommend. Their muffins look good too - will try next time.

The waiting time is eternal

The atmosphere is great here, it's a nice cozy place, they have a good amount of items on there menu and have a good selection of baked goods as well. The coffee was decent nothing to over the top though a d the food was great I had a sausage burrito and it came with hash browns great value. They only take cash so make sure you've got some on you, or there's a CIBC next door.

Although my matcha latte wasn't all that great, the bread was absolutely delicious! I'd return here for a snack - the building is so lovely.

A nice bakery/coffee shop with a laid back vibe. They have a wide selection of baked goods. The sitting areas are pleasant and cozy. Upstairs has some good views. Note that it's cash only!

The dough they use for the pizza is not nice. Healthy seed dough not as good for pizza. Staff are Nice.

This place is in a lovely location and the lunch was very tasty. They have a great selection at reasonable prices. Cosy with nice coffee.

My friend from Newfoundland told us we had to come here for cinnamon buns. We came right before closing and they're already closed the till for the day, so they gave us a bag of day olds with a request for $5 next time we came in. Love the trust and willingness to help!

Had a cinnamon roll made with local honey. Was delicious and fulfilling. Atmosphere was hip but held a sort of antiquity to it. Would definitely go again.
